Scary Halloween Stories

Why Hello there, let me take you on a journey right into the center of your worst nightmares and following it through to the heart of hell.... So weather you're spending Halloween alone searching the internet for stories to chill you to the bone , or you are actually being sociable and spending Halloween with friends (or people you can pass off as friends), why not take a moment  to read a couple of spooky stories that will leave you shaking in your boots...

The Clown
Mr and Mrs Thompson decided to take a night off from looking after their two young and troublesome children and go out for a dinner. They decided to call their  teen neighbor Nancy to come and watch over their children, it was the first time they had ever hired Nancy as a babysitter so there was a feeling of anxiety as the Thompsons left their home that night. But only 30 minutes later she called them up asking to cover up the life size clown statue in the living room, she said
" Its not that I don't like it or anything its just a bit creepy when you're trying to watch TV". The parents reacted quite terryfyingly to her request.
"What clown statue!?" they asked frantically " Call 911, NOW!"

Humans can lick too
Lisa was often left alone at home because her parents worked late, so they bought her a dog to protect her and keep her company. One night Lisa was awakened by a constant dripping sound. She got up and went to the kitchen to turn off the tap properly. As she was getting back into the bed she stuck her hand under the bed and the dog licked it reassuringly.
The dripping sound continued, so she went to the bathroom and turned off the tap properly in there, too. She went back to her bedroom and again stuck her hand under the bed, and again the dog licked it. But the dripping continued, so she went outside and turned off the taps out there. She came back to bed, stuck her hand under it, and the dog licked it again.
Still the dripping continued, drip, drip, drip. This time she listened and located the source of the dripping — it was coming from her cupboard. She opened the cupboard door, and there was her dog hanging upside down with its neck cut, and written on the window on the inside of the cupboard door was, "HUMANS CAN LICK TOO!!!"

 The Killer in the Window

This girl was home all alone watching TV on a cold winter night. The television was right beside a sliding glass door, and the blinds were open.
Suddenly she saw a wrinkled old man staring at her through the glass! She screamed, then grabbed the phone next to the couch and pulled a blanket over her head so the guy couldn't see her while she called the police. She was so terrified that she remained under the blanket until the police got there.
It had snowed a lot during the day, so the police naturally decided to look for footprints. But there were no footprints at all on the snowy ground outside the sliding door.
Puzzled, the police went back inside the house – and that's when they saw the wet footprints on the floor leading up to the couch where the girl was still sitting.
The policemen looked at each other nervously. "Miss, you're extremely lucky," one of them finally said to her.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because," he said, "the man wasn't outside at all. He was in here, standing right behind the couch! What you saw in the window was his reflection."

 Stuck in the woods
A woman and her boyfriend were on their way home from somewhere (not important) one night, and suddenly his car ran out of gas. It was about one in the morning and they were completely alone in the middle of the nowhere.
The guy stepped out of the car, saying comfortingly to his girlfriend, "Don't worry, I'll be right back. I'm just going to go out for some help. Lock the doors, though."
She locked the doors and sat restlessly, waiting for her boyfriend to come back. Suddenly, she sees a shadow fall across her lap. She looks up to see... not her boyfriend, but a strange, crazed looking man. He is swinging something in his right hand.
He sticks his face close to the window and slowly pulls up his right hand. In it is her boyfriend's decapitated head, twisted horribly in pain and shock. She shuts her eyes in horror and tries to make the image go away. When she opens her eyes, the man is still there, grinning psychotically. He slowly lifts his left hand, and he is holding her boyfriend's keys... to the car.

The killer in the back seat
One night a woman went out for drinks with her girlfriends. She left the bar fairly late at night, got in her car and onto the deserted highway. After a few minutes she noticed a lone pair of headlights in her rear-view mirror, approaching at a pace just slightly quicker than hers. As the car pulled up behind her she glanced and saw the turn signal on — the car was going to pass — when suddenly it swerved back behind her, pulled up dangerously close to her tailgate and the brights flashed.
Now she was getting nervous. The lights dimmed for a moment and then the brights came back on and the car behind her surged forward. The frightened woman struggled to keep her eyes on the road and fought the urge to look at the car behind her. Finally, her exit approached but the car continued to follow, flashing the brights periodically.
Through every stoplight and turn, it followed her until she pulled into her driveway. She figured her only hope was to make a mad dash into the house and call the police. As she flew from the car, so did the driver of the car behind her — and he screamed, "Lock the door and call the police! Call 911!"
When the police arrived the horrible truth was finally revealed to the woman. The man in the car had been trying to save her. As he pulled up behind her and his headlights illuminated her car, he saw the silhouette of a man with a butcher knife rising up from the back seat to stab her, so he flashed his brights and the figure crouched back down.
The moral of the story: Always check the back seat!

Not all of these were my own stories but they are all very common urban legends often told at Halloween so be sure to carry down the legacy and keep on telling them to scare your friends.

Halloween Games

I am so running out of ideas of what to wrote about for Halloween, but today I had a stroke of genius and decided to write about different games you can play on Halloween, so have fun I guess. Side note: these will probably be more enjoyable if you are playing them with friends... because some of these are quite sad to play on your own.

Bloody Mary
Possibly the best and most classic (maybe even a little cheesy) Halloween/Horror game. It involves going into a room with a mirror and facing it, switching the lights off, and repeating bloody Mary three times over. Then when you switch the lights back on she is supposed to appear behind you staring at you in the mirror. I think I tried it once, but it never really worked, not that I really wanted it to. I definitely don't recommend playing this game alone, it will scare the living Jesus out of you

Hide and Seek in the Dark
I know this sounds a little pathetic, kind of like a kiddy game, but that's what makes it so fun. Feeling like a child, remembering how exiting it used to be running around in the dark and that squeal when the seeker finds you. And if you're older to add an extra piece of excitement to it try Hide and seek in the dark when you're drunk.

Apple Bobbing
This game is pretty straight forward, you put some apples into a large bowl, or a bucket, or a box and fill it with water. Then blindfold yourself and tie your hands behind your back, its pretty simple after that just stick your head in the water and see if you can get any apples. I wouldn't exactly call it scary, it really isn't... But it is fun and that's whats important.

Short list of games I know butt I honestly cant think of many more except maybe who can eat the most candy before they throw up... then again that one isn't so fun.

Halloween cupcakes

If you are bored on Halloween there is absolutely no excuse!  Halloween is probably one of the 3 best nights of the year (Halloween, Christmas, and your Birthday) so if you're bored you're probably boring... no offense, or you are just not very creative and there's no harm in that. So here try your best to make some of these delicious cupcakes. Oh, by the way I don't have anything useful like a recipe this is just some ideas for decor :)

Tell me if any of your cupcakes turn out to look like these, if not trust me I've been there. The crushing disappointment of not achieving your goal in the cupcake world is a harsh reality... Only us kitchen virgins can understand these problems. I sound completely insane. Oh well in this day and age who isn't.

How to get ultimate amount of candy on Halloween

Here are some handy tips and tricks on the subject of getting candy on the sacred night of Halloween.....

First of all when you go door to door people aren't going to give much candy if you're an asshole, so be polite. Even if the person on the other end of the door is a little quirky its not an excuse just smile be polite make short (you don't want to be there all night) conversation, and when you leave smile and wave.
Bring a  big bag, you don't want to be forced home halfway through the night just because  you didn't pack eagerly enough. You'd be surprised by how generous people can feel on Halloween, even when they don't have any candy they still give you something. I once even got £5.00 from someone. That didn't take up much space in my wallet though, its pretty empty.

Get a GOOD costume. People are less likely to give you free stuff if you turn up in just a tracksuit and say you are a sportsman. And I don't mean go out and spend all your savings on a really elaborate cosplay costume because they probably wont understand it anyways, but just put that extra bit of effort into it that makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Another thing about costumes is dont dress as a slut for Halloween, its not 'cool' it doesnt make you attractive, people are just less likely to give you sweets. The trick is looking as young and as adorable as possible. Thats why if you go with a baby or a toddler you are golden.

I know, I know staying safe is really important especially on Halloween when a lot of mental teenagers are around, but if you do happen to hit a couple of doors by yourself you will probably get more candy, as they might feel sorry for you or simply think that this way in the long run they are more likely to give less candy out in total. And lets be honest I know technically Halloween is a religious event where you are supposed to rid yourself of all your sins, in real life Halloween is all about the candy and how much of it you get

Most creative Halloween costumes ever!

Here are some cool and creative costumes I found online that I though would be really cool for you guys if you are struggling for costume ideas, I know I am. Some of them would probably be a little more expensive than others but if you are really eager to have a good costume and don't want to spend any time making it price will be a factor.

Invisible man

Mario Kart Team

Spaghetti bowl (so cute)

Totoro

Call of duty Game box

Toy Soldiers

Bender

Man in cage

I really loved these costumes especially the spaghetti one, that child is adorable. But I think only a baby could pull that off, if you are an adult male your chances of being cute enough for that costume are pretty low. Good luck finding a costume and may your trick or treat bags be full.

Scary movies to watch on Halloween

Halloween is coming up soon so I decided to make a list of movies for the brave of heart and the strong minded of you to watch on none other than October 31st.....

The Omen

A classic. Although this movie was made a while ago, I would still class it as one of my favorites horror films of all time. Similarly to the exorcist it is mainly centered around a child, called Damien,  who just so happens to be the son of Satan. All of a sudden strange things start happening around the house he lives in, murders, suicides and some even more disturbing things. However they have made a 2006 remake of the movie, and as I have not seen it and cannot recommend it (it does look good though). Feel free to tell me about it in the comments if you have seen it.

Paranormal activity

Yeah, yeah I know. This movie wasn't exactly a genius, thought out, vast expense masterpiece. I could probably have filmed it in my cellar. But you have to admit it, this movie gives you chills. And even though I have seen it a thousand times, every time the lights go off and the night camera begins I cant help but hide my face in my hands and glance through the gaps. But seriously check it out, its a fun movie to watch with friends.

The Ring

This movie has some really creepy moments so unless you are tough I wouldn't advise watching it. It is about a young girl called Samara and the journey you take to find out the tragic truth about her past. It is incredibly well done and although there one or two gruesome moments, the movie in general is mostly based on chills. I would definitely not recommend watching this movie alone, as after I watched it I refused to pick up the telephone for several days.

Saw

DO NOT WATCH THIS! To be honest I don't know why I'm even recommending this movie at all. Although there are some disgusting moments in this movie, I was surprise to find out that it is not all gore and guts. It does however seriously mess with your head, I couldn't sleep for weeks. Even now when I was looking for pictures to put in this post I couldn't find anything that wasn't absolutely terrifying so I just put in this cute lil' picture to not freak out any innocent or faint of heart.

So if you are like me and too old to go trick or treating (or maybe you are even more like me and you go anyway)  you can sit back with a bowl of popcorn this Halloween and let all these movies soak in and ruin your life.

Alex

Impossible Love (Poem)

As the lights dimmed, as your eyes stared,
mine flooded with desperation.
Of the times you stood alone, the last was your bravest,
but I couldn't help.
Of all the times you loved another, I loved them too,
but it never lasted.
Of all the times I looked at you, you looked through me,
but it was empty.
The wall that stands between us now,
Between our time,
Between our space,
Between the walls that break our realities,
Lies the key to my love and the portal you need,
And as your body stiffened, and grew cold,
mine chocked on the need to hold you.
But your shadow stands forever in the mist,
and our love,
our Impossible love
Will burn with life in the cracks between our worlds...
